Books

  • The content of this workshop was very much inspired by the first several chapters of Learning R by Richard Cotton. This book can be accessed through UBC Library at https://tinyurl.com/y43bkqco
  • Another great resource is R for Data Science by Wickham Hadley and Garrett Grolemund. This book can be accessed through UBC Library at https://tinyurl.com/y49kseaf
  • If you’re into text mining, Text Mining with R by Julia Sigle and David Robinson is also brilliant. This book can be accessed through UBC Library at https://tinyurl.com/y632e6v6

UBC Workshops

  • The Research Commons in Vancouver runs a couple of data analysis workshops. A good follow up to this course that introduces using some of the packages from Tidyverse is their Introduction to R and RStudio.
  • The Research Commons also runs a course on R for Statistical Analysis.
